City Announces Winter Fundays Activities – City of Thunder Bay

December 7, 2017 – The City of Thunder Bay has announced the activity schedule for this year’s Winter Fundays at Prince Arthur’s Landing presented by Rock 94 and CKPR. The family-friendly activities start on New Year’s Eve with a skating party and run every Sunday until March 11, 2018.

Embrace winter by taking part in a different fun outdoor activity for FREE every Sunday. After you’ve enjoyed the Winter Funday activity outside, you can warm up with a creative activity inside the Baggage Building Arts Centre.

Winter Fundays Schedule (2 pm – 4 pm unless otherwise noted):

Sunday, Dec. 31 – Skating Party with the Thunder Bay Skating Academy
Sunday, Jan. 7 – Winter Treasure Hunt with Willow Springs Creative Centre
Sunday, Jan. 14 – Snowshoeing
Sunday, Jan. 21 – FIS World Snow Day activities with Children & Youth Programs
Sunday, Jan. 28 – Dogsledding with Boreal Journeys Sled Dog Kennel, noon – 4 pm
Sunday, Feb. 4 – To Be Confirmed
Sunday, Feb. 11 – Thunderwolves Day on the Waterfront
Sunday, Feb. 18 – To Be Confirmed
Sunday, Feb. 25 – Bannock over the Fire with the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre
Sunday, March 4 – Cabane à sucre with Club Canadien Français de Thunder Bay
Sunday, March 11 – Winter Science with Science North
