FNSA Conference and AGM

April 19, 2018 – First Nations Schools Authorized Representatives Day
April 20, and 21, 2018 – Main Conference Days

The First Nations Schools Association  invites First Nations school educators and administrators to our conference and annual general meeting, where we will explore a wide range of effective practices in classroom instruction, school administration and key areas of professional growth.

Registration

Registration is now at capacity and closed.

$0 for FNSA Authorized Representatives (1 per school) – see this page for the most current list of FNSA Authorized Representatives. Instructions for updating your representative or assigning a proxy are also available at that link.

$400 for Regular Registrants (One day $200)

VISA and MasterCard payments will be accepted with your online registration or by phoning CivicInfo at 250-383-4898 after registering.

If paying by cheque, please include a copy of registration confirmation.  Make cheques payable to: ‘First Nations Schools Association c/o CivicInfo’  Send to: CivicInfo BC, #203 – 4475 Viewmont Avenue, Victoria BC, V8Z 6L8

Cancellation policy: Full refunds up to and including April 14, 2017; no refunds after. Substitutions allowed.

Breakfasts, lunches and coffee breaks are provided.

Hotel

Hyatt Regency Hotel (main conference venue)

$188 single/double. Reservations can be made using the booking link  or by calling 1-888-421-1442.

Book by April 5, 2017 for the negotiated rates.  After that date, reservations will be on a space and rate available basis. All participants book their own accommodation.

For school FNSA authorized representatives claiming travel reimbursement (1 per school), hotel will be reimbursed only to a maximum of the negotiated rate above.

Authorized School Representatives

Each FNSA member school has one individual who is registered with the FNSA as the authorized school representative (typically the school principal).

Authorized representatives are eligible to:

  1. attend the April 20th Authorized Representatives Meeting;
  2. vote at the FNSA AGM on April 21st; and
  3. claim travel/hotel reimbursement, provided they attend the annual general meeting
