Guelph Market highlights products from those who identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Colour – Guelph Mercury

A new digital marketplace has been launched with a specific focus.

Brian Kwok launched Guelph Market on July 1 with the aim of highlighting artisan businesses owned by Black, Indigenous and Peoples of Colour, known as BIPOC, after scrapping physical events amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“Even though I run Guelph Market as a one-person team, the company’s mandate is based on the boosting and promotion of businesses owned by BIPOC and marginalized individuals,” Kwok told the Mercury Tribune.

He added: “We’ve also increased our featured products portion of our home page, to now feature charity products aimed to donate a majority of profits back into BLM and LGBTQ2+ initiatives in Guelph.”
