University of Sudbury hands out awards – The Sudbury Star

Its annual awards ceremony set for Thursday had to be shelved due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that didn’t stop the University of Sudbury from recognizing its top students for this school year.
“The unusual circumstances this year do not affect our level of pride in these students who show impressive leadership and drive academically and otherwise,” said the university in a news release. “Congratulations to all.”
Senate Awards are being issued to five students:
- the Teilhard de Chardin in Religious Studies to Julie Langlois;
- the Teilhard de Chardin en Sciences religieuses to Mikela Lemieux;
- the Vladimir Berens Award in Philosophy to Evan Elliot;
- the Vladimir Berens en Philosophie to Ines Bagaoui-Fradette; and
- the Stella Kinoshameg Award in Indigenous Studies to Nina Trudeau.
